Our Step-by-Step Process

Plan/Design

The Planning step in the process includes identifying business requirements and goals, auditing and assessing the current state, developing a gap analysis, and identifying high-level solutions that can address the objectives and technology gap. In the design steps, we work with you to determine which components make up the overall solution, how the elements will integrate into existing systems, how the solution will specifically address the areas identified in the plan phase, and how the overall solution addresses general IT requirements such as availability, manageability, security, and performance.

Deploy/Integrate

The Deploy/Integrate phase transitions the plan and design into production. We develop a deployment plan that outlines the milestones and resources associated with achieving a successful rollout. The plan is then staffed and managed and the steps executed to complete the detailed objectives. Components of the deployment plan may include detailed tasks and time allocation, implementation caveats or best practices, rollback and testing steps, and schedules to address maintenance windows. Resources complete the steps outlined in the deployment plan and validate that milestones and objectives are met through pilot testing, with real and/or simulated end-user interaction.

Operate/Support

During the Operate/Support phase, the solution is typically in production. Management resources are trained and assigned responsibilities while the solution is monitored to validate it is performing as expected and addressing the plan requirements. Alert mitigation becomes the daily focus as we take steps to maintain overall solution health, address faults or deviations from baseline expectations, enforce reliability to end users, and implement configuration changes to adapt to evolving requirements.

Optimize/Improve

In the Optimize and Improve phase, we proactively update the solution design to address problems with usability, predictability, ease of use, performance, and scalability. During this time, areas outside of the original solution scope may be identified as inhibitors to the behavior of the overall solution. If so, we take the necessary steps to address these areas to make sure the solution is operating at or above expectations.
